Road Trip 2002
Spring
Canyon Lake, Arizona
Well, life is full of surprises and this is another one. First I must say that it was hard leaving Echo Bay. I had a few friends there and some very unique acquaintances, also.
Onward and out on the road again. Being in the bus and driving alone is a bit of a challenge. The first leg of the trip was uneventful, a bit windy, but I'm used to that. Left Echo Bay at about 7:05 and arrived, got lost in Boulder City, LOL, figure that one out. I arrived in Kingman, Arizona about 12:30 Pm, I Guess, Time changes and all that. I Found a nice campground, and settled in. It's names was the Fort Beale Campground, and yes I recommend it for an overnight.

It was clean, and friendly. I made some phone calls, to tell everyone, all was ok and made dinner.

The bus did great, and the Kitties although, mad about the trip faired well.

Well the next day got a bit rough. It was 102 in Phoenix and the traffic was awful. Well the term Lost at Last fit there, and although I was lost the whole drive through Phoenix, I was actually on the right roads. When I hit the last 14 Miles, the cats were panting from the heat, ( it was 123 degrees inside) I decided not to stop for the night and go for it.
The road up here was steep and very twisty and turny, but really not a problem.
I arrived at Canyon Lake about 1:30 Pm and was greeted By Al and Steve. Steve led me to my site.
Now I've been to a lot of places, and been too a lot of resorts, but look at this site.
